Localisation: indoor or outdoor walls?

As its name indicates this indoor green wall is used in intramural districts in the West.

Our technology for the indoor green wall is practical and is the lightest in the market. This is also not use for outdoor because it has little resistance to the cold. It is commonly used it outdoors in all tropical areas. However, we use it extra-mural in geographical areas where temperatures do not fall below -5 °. In this way, we have designed projects in Dubai, Mexico, Egypt, Morocco and Asia.

Technically, the wetted weight of our indoor green wall is 15 kg while the grammage is 800 grams per square metre.

We are particularly interested in the life cycle of products and their recycling. The use of recycled materials respects the environment and remains more durable compare than the natural materials picked from nature.

Jardins de Babylone developed a technique using crushed plastic bottles that we recycled and then needled. It makes it possible to grow plants vertically along the green walls.

This thin and light fabric well vegetates interiors.

The width without the plants is 7cm for a weight of 12kg at its point of settling. That is to say, the point where the wall is wet once drained.

Through its needling, this fabric has a high resistance to tearing: 350 kg (the most resistant on the market). The extreme solidity of this fabric come along with a great capillary action. In fact, each layer of fabric absorbed and waterlogged with 1.4 Litre of water per m².

Please note: Depending on the project, we use between 3 and 4 layers per m² of fabric. To be sure that the plants get a reserve of water to use for their growth.

A domotic irrigation system

Water and electricity is essential for a green wall. When either of the two happens to cut, it will prevent the system from functioning. Consequently, we offer a centralised management service that alert us to possible malfunctions.

We install the domotic or smart irrigation in all our system. This remote centralised management secures the indoor plant wall regardless of its volume.
